my very first album has been completed. this is an FYI message. when i'm up on the internet and CD Baby (and maybe pandora) and such i'll let y'all know.
(if you actually read this post and are at all interested in what is going on in our government and the world, you might want to avoid reading/watching the entire press conference. it's painful).
You wouldn't believe this if I didn't have a link to it, but someone actually believes soy makes you gay; and someone actually published this article. You should read it, it's hilarious.
President Bush, Laura Bush and the pups wish you Happy Holidays! If you've never seen "Barney Cam" -- the films made starring Barney, President Bush's scottish terrier -- do yourself a favor and enjoy the latest in the saga. It may not be very good or very entertaining, and it may in fact make jokes about current issues in terrible taste, but gosh Barney is the cutest dog.
Read the Iraq Study Group Report. It's on the internet for free (pdf). It's poorly written, immensely redundant and does a poor job of defining terms, but it gives a lot of straightforward information about the situation in Iraq. They took 9 months to do this which meant 9 months of more and more money and deaths, but I suppose it's better than there not being a study group report this widely publicized.
If you don't have the time to read it, at least check out the NY Times summary:
Something must be done as soon as possible; the report at times seems hopeful but mostly paints a clear picture: Mr. President, 'victory' -- whatever that means -- is not possible. We need to do the best we can; the consequences of this gross strategic error must be kept to a minimum. Tony Snow quit lying to yourself.
Maybe I'll become a journalist. Its difficult feeling my voice means nothing thanks to the utter stubbornness of the Executive Brance of my government.
We're almost done here, finally. There are a few minor kinks left -- sonuvabitch ;) -- but I really can't see this dragging beyond the end of the week. Manufacturing next week, sort of.
the loveliest two and a half minutes of animation i've come across. this should be shown to everyone as an extremely important lesson: if you aren't satisfied, do something about it. if you need more, take it. if you've got to fly...
mastering will be, i think, finished on wednesday. the design will be more than half done before then and likely finished in about ten days. then comes manufacturing. it's pretty much "rap up" season, now.
As ridiculous as it may sound, I think Drawing Restraint 9 needs to be viewed at least four times (perhaps three if you have an adequate introduction and/or explanation (/discussion) of themes and devices after first viewing). Then it begins to lose its purely intruiguing quality and show you its heart, its core. When you can be present within this core you can finally understand what is going on throughout the experience of the film -- particularly the transformation and how it relates to and refelcts everything else ("In every part / the whole / you'll see"). In related news, I want Björk to put that black stuff on her teeth and bite my neck as hard as she can.
